I missed this.
Pictures are from last Saturday. I had a really good day out and I bought a bunch of cute stuff.
There are so many cool second hand shops where I live and I love it so much. It's so rainy lately though...
So, last year I started playing Genshin Impact on a whim, and I became so addicted that playing the game was basically the only thing I did for the whole year.
I obviously went to work like normal, but the vast majority of my free time was spent playing video games...
Basically I didn't go out much, and when I did my coord looked weird or the picture was bad so I didn't post much at all.
So, I'd like to post more again. Just because.

Obviously wore pink to see the new Barbie film with a new friend :P though admittedly I don't own a lot of pink, because I just don't think it suits me that much.
I couldn't get a good picture of my complete coord though lol so I'll just post a few so you can piece it together in your head.
I got these Metamorphose shoes earlier this year and they just make every coord 10 times more enjoyable to wear. LOVE META.




Well, it was a fun event.

This was the first time I wore these shoes, which is why I'm wearing them indoors.
I'm glad I take photos sometimes because otherwise I would have completely forgetten about this outfit and this day.

I had to waddle home.
I have repaired the other shoe before, so it should be fine. Lazy as usual.
I enjoyed this outfit I wore to a silent film concert. Unfortunately, this is how I chose to record it.

So yeah anyway... I've been settling in to my new place, and I've been a bit here and there. I guess I just didn't feel like posting photos of myself for a while, but I miss having a little website to mess around on...

HUH? I didn't update for 7 months? That was not supposed to happen. I got too absorbed with working... I also got a cat (her name is Iris!), so I've been busy.
I'm currently waiting for this dress to be sent.

I hope it comes soon! I have a severe lack of floral pieces at the moment!!
Oh yeah, I've been busy these 7 months. I cut my hair too. At first I thought I couldn't wear lolita normally with short hair, but I've been gathering inspiration since I cut it and honestly, there are a lot of cute looks you can still do with very short hair. I'm not really a wig person... Anyway, it was just really damaged and it had to go. I plan on growing it long again, but I think it'll take a few years, lol.
Today I went to several Yule markets. One of them was pretty cool, and my sister and I bought each other stickers as presents. We also saw a group of men jump into the ocean even though it was about -5 today. I don't really get it...

How I want to dress vs how the weather forces me to dress. Just kidding, I love getting to wear this coat, plus it's warm enough for at least -10 so that's nice.
I went back to using a smartphone again! I used a feature phone for 3 years and it was a much needed and refreshing change of pace. It was a pretty bad phone, though. Nokia 3310. I still miss Sony Ericsson...

The other day with my friend Selina. :) It was windy so my hair looks especially bad.
I recently painted my blue Bodyline shoes white, so they are the ones on the picture here. I had no use for blue shoes anymore, and unlike my other white Bodyline shoes they're comfortable, so it will be easier to coordinate now. They needed at least 8 layers of paint, and I think I might go over them again. I'm glad I'm able to find use for something after not using them for many many years.

I also finally bought some Meta socks so I'm pretty stoked about that haha.
By the way, I'm really tired of almost falling over in those white sandals so I guess I'll reluctantly have to stop wearing them. I love them but there's basically only a piece of string holding your feet in place.

After my last post I was sorting through my crafting books and came across these pages with basic instructions for bobbin lace. I didn't even realise I had it! I think I got this book from a friend.

I'd like to try it out, but I'm sure it's difficult.

More summer outfits... Here's a simple one. I got several compliments for some reason (not that I mind).


This looks kinda bad on the photo... But this is one of my favourite styles of Lolita! I'll have to take a better picture some other time. I also made the weird decision of wearing long sleeves on a hot day, I just really like these sleeves. They're not the worst for when it's hot, since they're airy.
I have only worn Lolita very casually lately, so for a while I didn't have any photos I wanted to post. I don't like shoe-less coords :(

I went to some historical house recently, they had this lace making station on display. Bobbin lace? Looks like it's missing something. I just thought it was cool. It would be a complete dream to learn how to make it... It looks difficult.

The strap on one of my Demonias is about to snap... I've only had them for 3 years, but hopefully they can be fixed.

On a different note, I've been thinking I want to add a page to link to other Neocities. I don't know about old internet etiquette, but I've seen people link to me and I always felt happy, and I think it's about time I do the same. So, that's my next plan.

The weather hasn't been good lately. It's usually warm on my birthday so it was disappointing.
The shops opened up again. I haven't bought my birthday present yet, though. I'm not in a rush.

Rambling about memories

Lately I've been thinking about early Lolita memories I have. I remembered something that made me think that maybe my current about section is a bit wrong(not really important)?

Lolita fashion is very famous... and recognisable. I think most people where I grew up had at least heard of Harajuku fashion at some point, even though the idea of it might have been vague. I remember looking up pictures of Gothic Lolita in primary school. It was like admiring a piece of art, with no intention of obtaining it.

I remember trying to make a skirt for the first time, it was a yellow gingham rectangle skirt! Except I didn't know how to sew yet and it completely failed so I ended up throwing it away. I wonder if I was 14 or 15 then.

Over the years I got more and more interested in fashion, and was completely on the pastel craze from about 2012. After I moved out I only wanted to wear black... Now I like to wear almost anything.

I didn't always closely pay attention to Lolita fashion over the years, but it kept finding me!!! That's what I'm trying to say here. It's always been there, and I didn't think much of it at first other than it being cool and unobtainable. I just can't stop loving EGL... It's the coolest! The cutest! The best!
Now, I just need to get better at coording...

I did update those bear buttons like I said I would, I'm happy with them for now.
I didn't really have anything to write about until now. Though, I did start on that dress I wanted to make. It will be a loong time til I finish it!

Today I tried to update the appearance of this page, it's a WIP again I guess. I don't know if the border looks good. Maybe I should have made lace instead? I'll figure it out. I also want to make the bear buttons cuter. I already tried but they need to be... cuter...

I was able to wear a lot of cute clothes lately. Here's a pic from when it had snowed. It was nice to get a bit of snow... it's all gone again now though.


I finally finished that leopard bag, lol. I want to use it lots when it's spring!


This was the best photo... The bag wasn't hard to make, I just spent a really long time knitting the lace for some reason.
Speaking of knitting, I'm glad crocheting is so fashionable right now. I want to learn how to crochet too... :D

My winter wardrobe is small, so I'd like to get some more pieces I can wear in winter. I've felt inspired to sew lately, so hopefully I'll be able to make what I have in mind. It's a bit hard to go fabric shopping right now.
Last year I tried to use the fabric scraps I had instead of buying new fabric, to avoid going outside. There wasn't much I could come up with, so I should probably use them for doll clothes. I wish my local shops sold more interesting lace, too.

Happy New Year.

Wore Dream Sky for the first time on New Year's eve. I would love to get a sax blouse for this.

Anyway, I would like to write a bit for today! I have enjoyed this year on Neocities so much. This place is filled with wonderful and creative people, I feel inspired every day! I still have so much left to learn, and I hope I can make my site better and cooler this year. I don't know if I sound sappy right now, I just genuinely really enjoyed this year on Neocities.

If anyone who follows me happens to read this, I wanted to thank you for following me, it made me feel welcome on Neocities this year! I love the community here, and it might not mean much to everyone but it meant a lot to me.
I'm going to try to be myself even more this year. I need to keep reminding myself.

Happy Yule!

Inside outside. I wore this for decorating the Christmas tree with my family. I wanted to practice my hairdo for Christmas eve, so I made rag curls for the first time! It was surprisingly easy, so I'm very pleased. Hairstyles are something I've been trying to work on improving, because I'm tired of my hair looking flat and boring.
Just a day I felt like wearing something nice. I struggled to edit this photo, it was taken in the dark but whenever I tried to brighten it it woud look like broad daylight... So I settled on this, hope it looks ok. I went for a nice long walk with my sisters. Inside:

Here is a photo with my cute dolls. I made that top, it does say placebo but in reference to the placebo effect. I didn't have any good coord shots but it was all black.

My other sister finally came to town and we all had a nice walk together. Her iPhone camera is very good...

I wanted to wear this dress again so I tried to make it more wintery, IDK if I succeeded but it was a really comfy coord to wear indoors!

I'm very slowly working on a matching bag to my leopard headdress but I wanted to wear it. This is very simple, and the photo quality is very bad.

I wanted to keep up the habit of posting coord photos for the entire year, just to see what it's like, but at this point I almost feel weird posting them. It was like a personal challenge for me, but I couldn't make my mind up on whether I wanted to post often or more rarely. Isn't it kind of fun to post more often though? I'll change it up next year, I want to post ones that I really like (they might still be really plain?) and focus on better quality photos. I'd love to write about random stuff as well. We'll see what happens.

I mostly stayed inside this month, and I've been appreciating spending time with family IRL. I should stop neglecting the coord garden though.

I wore this the other day. Here are some photos my sister took for me.
Bird thing... I love this photo, and I love cosy lolita. It was a nice day, but the evening was chilly. My cape was warm enough for 4°C but I should wear gloves next time. I found a matching headbow to my dress earlier this year and because of shipping delays as you know... I was happy to finally wear it!
I was recently able to move back home... There was a leak from upstairs so we had to move out for a bit, and I'm happy to be back. I want to fix some stuff on my site so I'll do that soon :)

This month was for enjoying the last warmth of the year.

I got my first brand new BTSSB dress and I'm really happy. My headdress seems to be slipping though... I don't really need to write anything more detailed, on all the pics I was just having fun with my sister.

I really enjoyed wearing the coord below, very summery and nice. I don't know about the hat, it gives me "I'm 10 and on my way to a garden party" vibes, but maybe that should be the vibe?


Love my new Meta dress... Would have been cuter with a petticoat but didn't have room to pack any. Also I got contact lenses.
I want to make my site better but I struggle to figure out what to do. I'll just post like this for the rest of the year, at least.

This is basically just where I post most of my coords, I try not to think too much about it. Now that more than half a year has gone by since I started this ~documentation~ journey, I have noticed that... I wear that black skirt way too much, and I need to give some love to my other pieces. I think a lot of my outfits look the same but this is basically for my own future reference.

Went to go check out a newly opened shopping centre. It was as posh as I had expected. I dressed as a lumpy nun for the occasion. Too many people outside, felt unsafe. I will stay inside from now on.

Coord from yesterday. Went for a walk. We're encouraged to go outside as long as we stay away from people. Not a lot of people about so it was easy to keep my distance. It was terribly windy.
It was better to stay inside and play videogames. I'm almost done with Folklore. I tried playing it in 2009 but gave up a lot easier back then than I do now. Seems like spending a decade on something is a common theme with me.



I put some hearts on my phone. I want more bling though. I've been wearing a lot of black recently, but I'm getting tired of wearing the same headwear all the time. I need to expand my collection. I also think I should practice on not looking so smug in photos.

Hey, it is spring! Also I changed my mind on how I want this page to be. I might change my mind again later, who knows.

Outfit I wore recently. I forget to take photos sometimes, but here are from when I remembered. They all look the same when I wear that coat anyway! I'm trying to smile but I think I look a bit smug.


I've been thinking about changing my site name, the Frump Zone. I named it that because it made me laugh but now I'm feeling less confident and might go more subtle. I also forgot about being myself, but I'll keep trying. I don't know what to do about my coords page but I'll add stuff eventually. The flippable photos make me laugh. I'm enjoying making my own site so much!! I'm still a beginner of course but I'll keep learning.

Finally found the motivation to sew again. It's the thing I enjoy doing most, but I could barely remember how to make a tote bag. Oh well. I recently fixed one of the straps on this BTSSB JSK and I'm glad to finally be able to wear it again. I want to make a skirt next.
